Homer

Homer is located at the end of the North American road system on the shores of beautiful Kachemak Bay. The Town of Homer occupies one side of the bay while the southern reaches of the Kenai Mountains comprise the other. Homer has a vibrant arts scene, year round recreational opportunities on both land and sea, and plenty of good restaurants.

Anchor Point

Anchor Point is named after its feature attraction, the Anchor River. If you like fishing, this is a pretty good place to have a home as the river is host to kings, pinks, silvers, dolly varden, rainbow trout, and steelhead. The beach and local campgrounds provide recreational opportunities as well. Anchor Point is located 23 miles north of Homer and 59 miles south of Soldotna, which gives this small town good access to bigger city shopping and other nearby opportunities. Anchor Point also has some of the most affordable housing in Alaska, an excellent local K-8 school, and a senior center, which along with the school, acts as a community center.
