  • Denise Pitzman

Denise Pitzman earned her real estate license in 2011, her associate broker license in 2015, and in December 2014, was elected Realtor of the Year by the Kachemak Board of Realtors. The award is given to agents who “uphold the Realtor Code of Ethics, which is based on professionalism and protection of the public.” A quick search of Realtor.com reveals five-star ratings and glowing reviews for Denise’s professionalism, knowledge, and desire to find the perfect property for her clients. Denise has lived in the Homer area since 1990, and has always been active in the community. She’s currently serving as the president of the Board of Trustees for The Homer Foundation. She is involved with the Alaska chapter of the Children’s Tumor Foundation and is a past board member for the national organization. She has completed 11 marathons as fundraisers. Her concern for children has extended to Birth2Three (now Sprout), where she was a board member. In civic-minded pursuits, she was a past member of the Homer High School Site Council and is a past member-at-large for the Kachemak Board of realtors. Before Denise became a realtor, she owned a fishing charter/rental cabin business, where she flaunted her much-prized skill of filleting 25 pound salmon in under two minutes. She also plays a mean game of bridge, can cut kindling while talking on the phone, and is able to prepare a gourmet meal on a campfire.

  • Nate Spence-Chorman

Nate grew up in Homer, running around in the woods, playing in the mud and catching frogs. He spent his teenage years and early adult life guiding wildlife photographers with his folks. Following high school, he moved to Northern California and Seattle, where he earned a Psychology degree and learned how to write code for games. He returned to Homer for a brief visit, and stayed permanently when he realized how much he missed the view, the colorful company, and his roots. Since returning, he has worked locally in the behavioral health field, as an independent game designer, a remote virtual reality developer for an Alaskan tech company, and has been involved with community arts and education. He enjoys hiking, microscopes, movies, and Dungeons & Dragons, as well as consuming and authoring horror fiction. He still designs games with a small team of friends. He’s excited to join Red Knot and to find great houses for great people.
